Are People Searching For What You Sell?

Of course they are. Everyone searches online.

Spend 1 minute to see how this approach could damage your profits.

How many are searching for what you sell?

How many are searching for what you sell, where you sell it?

You don't know. How can you?

If you don't know the size of your market, then you don't know how much time and money should be spent chasing it.

If you don't know that, then are you sure you are spending enough? Perhaps you are spending too much?

Unless you have money to burn, then it is important to get a feel of your potential market ASAP.

This uncertainty affects how we do business:

  • We don't tie our clients into a long-term contract. If there isn't a profitable market, then it makes sense to stop, and;
  • We establish the potential market as quickly as possible.

There are different ways to do this. Most are not really appropriate for many businesses. How do you do it?

The original question should be re-phrased. Are you getting the maximum profitable share of your potential market?

If the answer is "no" or "don't know", then you should do something about it.

One option is to give up. Another is to take control.
