What is the Purpose of Your Website?

This is an excellent question to ask before you start a new website. It is an even better question to ask when your website is not doing what you want.

Spend 1 minute to see the 3 reasons for having a website, and which one should be yours.

There are 3 reasons for having a website:

  1. If you have an online shop, to sell things online;
  2. To get enquiries, or;
  3. For brand awareness.

Some websites may have more than one purpose, but there is usually a main reason.

The first one is self-explanatory. However, very few websites actually sell online.

The second is the main reason most businesses have a website.

The third is usually used by large companies "who don't need to advertise". However, it is often used as an excuse by those who have failed with 1 and 2 above.

What is the purpose of your website? Does it do that?

If everything is in order, then congratulations. But what if you have a problem? Now that you know, it is time to do something about it.
